The 2024 Scheurebe, also known as Sampling 88, was created in the early 20th century, like its cousin the Kerner, by crossing a Riesling and a now-extinct grape native to Switzerland called Bukettraube. Scheurebe is a highly sought-after, rare wine that offers a tasting experience unlike any other wine we can compare it to.
Bouquet: Hints of Stonefruit and star anise with a lingering citrus and pear.
Palate: Exquisite balance of spice and fruit with nice undernotes of cardamom and pepper.
Pairings: With its versatility, Sceurebe pairs well with seafood and spice dishes, highlighting its peppery accents. Goat cheeses and arugula-based salads make an incredible compromise.
